Colossians...Jesus Christ is Supreme
COLOSSIANS 3
First, A few thoughts~
Some were teaching that holy living was a result of religious activities (2:16-23)
~such as-
Colossians teaches us that Jesus Christ is supreme and He is the key to a holy living (1:9-14 // 2:11-15)
~What is true of you based on vs. 12-14-
Therefore it is possible to live the life mentioned in 3:5-17

--(2)Set (direct) your mind (and emotions) on things above

Raised = Revived / a believers resurrection with Christ
We are connected to the One who is seated at the right hand of God-
--Seated=His part of the salvation process is completed!
(Heb. 1:3 //10:12)
--What Christ doing while seated there? (Rom. 8:33-34)
--Eph 2:6 speaks of our position WITH Him.
~How can these truths help you in your daily battle against sin?

Death=separation from life/power (not extinction)
You were dead to God and alive to sin BUT now you are dead to sin and alive to God! (Rom. 6:2-4 // 2 Cor. 5:14-21)

Hidden= concealed / taken out of view

He is our life is true of all believers (Jn17:3).
