About Us...
Both Carly and I trusted Jesus Christ to be our Savior as children. I have dreamed about ministering in a foreign country since the age of 12. It was at that time on a trip to the Navajo Indian Reservation that I decided to pursue full time ministry. Since then I have had several short-term opportunities to serve in Russia, Mexico, and Papua New Guinea. Carly's heart was first opened to missions during her freshman year in college. At that time she decided to major in missions and teaching English to speakers of other languages. Before we married she also had several short-term opportunities in Mexico, India, and Albania. It was our desire for foreign ministry that brought us together through our dear friend, Gayle Byrd. We have now been married 4 1/2 years and have ministered together in our community, Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. During that time we have prayed and waited, and are now confident this is God's perfect timing for us to begin ministering full time. We are confident that we have been called to Honduras to work with children who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected.

HERE AND NOW- In addition to our regular full time jobs as public school teachers, God has blessed us with several ministries right here in Phoenix. We are thankful for these opportunities to serve, and are confident that they have been useful in preparing us for what lies ahead. Presently, I am a pastor in our church and teach adult Sunday school weekly. I'm also often given the privilege preaching when our head pastor is out. Carly started an ESL program in our church over a year ago that has touched well over 100 people from the community through our church members (We are currently waiting for a new group of teachers to volunteer). It is a privilege and very rewarding to serve in these areas, and we are confident that God is using these experiences to shape and prepare us for our future.
March 1, 2008, we moved into the Safe Harbor House as staff leaders. The Safe Harbor House (a ministry of our church) is a transition home for women. As staff leaders, our goal is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the residents to develop healthy patterns of relating and living. This is an exciting ministry and also a great experience in preparation for our future work in Honduras.
We would appreciate your prayers.
Thanks~
